MISSION & HISTORY.

The Rural Health Association of Oklahoma began in 1996 with the vision of its founding members.  While the wording of the mission has changed, the RHAO Board of Directors has been committed to improving the health of rural Oklahomans.  RHAO focuses on the current mission of "serving as a united voice for Oklahomans in the promotion of rural health issues through advocacy, education, and leadership" by providing opportunities for leadership and education, as well as advocating on behalf of rural Oklahomans.
